Changfa Resources (Zambia) Limited was established in June 2011 and is registered in Zambia. The Company holds the mining rights for the Mokambo Copper Mine.

Acquired from Northwestern Plant Hire Limited in May 2012, the project was subsequently granted a large-scale mining license on May 23, 2013. It now encompasses the northern area, previously covered by prospecting license 13812-HQ-LPL, and the southern area, which was under prospecting license 8529-HQ-LPL and previously held by Katanga Resources Limited.

The Mokambo Copper Mine is located in the Copperbelt Province, approximately 15 km northeast of Mufulira and about 4 km from Mokambo town, covering an area of 21.84 km² under Large Scale Mining Licence No. 8245-HQ-LML.

The project has obtained environmental approval from the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), Approval No. ZEMA/EA/EIS/605.
